Mauricio Duarte is a lawyer from Guatemala with an LL.M. from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota) and serves as a Justice Entrepreneur with A2J Tech. Mauricio has a deep background in startups, venture capital, international arbitration, and alternate dispute mechanisms and has focused primarily on using technology to solve disputes. His previous experience led him to become a Fellow in the Kleros Fellowship of Justice in Law & Society, a TAG Alliances Blockchain & Cryptocurrency Specialty Group Member, Ambassador at Arbitrator Intelligence, and a recent member of the AIAC Technology Expert Committee.
Besides, Mauricio keeps his practice advising technology startups and technology companies, is a co-founder of Guatemala Legal Hackers and Legal Hackers Podcast (In Spanish), and is a published author on legal technology and innovation topics. Outside of his working life, Mauricio is a marathon runner and triathlete.
